Here’s one we haven’t tried before. Helen Money and I were approached by theatrical music house, Pusher to create a piece of music that would be fed into an AI generated program designed by artist Scholastic Rodent. The result is a randomly generated set of images that were triggered by the sounds and dynamics in the music. In this case, the artist used impressionist paintings that morph and blend images of landscapes, figures and abstract color fields. Super fun project for sure. Click HERE to watch on YouTube. Who knew plants could dance so well? We’re excited to have Spill Magazine premiere the new video for the Wish I Had A Pulse remix ft. Natalie Walker. We had a great time creating this video that features a selection of spring blooms that sprung up all around the studio in Ojai. We put them in a power drill and they seemed to come to life!

Excited to announce the Dive Index Refolded album release. All remixes, revisits and reinterpretations of songs from the Waving At Airplanes album. Release date is May 21st.
Mike Lindsay of Tunng did an amazing remix of “She’s Exploding feat. Natalie Walker” and that single is out May 7th. We had a great time refolding these songs and look forward to launching them out into the world!

In honor of the day, I printed a pattern of the album cover design and made (and launched!) a paper airplane. Good times… xW

We’re super excited to launch - blinkingred.love - an Interactive Music Video that allows you to explore the song Wish I Had a Pulse in a new way. The song is about a precarious A.I. relationship so it seemed appropriate to transport Natalie into a digital world. We split the song into separate tracks so you can move sliders to adjust different elements and 'mix' the song anyway you like. The sliders also manipulate the visuals on the screen including the lyrics and Natalie's performance.

Here’s the second Dive Index single, Near Enough (feat. Merz) from the album, Waving At Airplanes out May 29th. As of today, we’ve been in ‘safe at home’ mode for the past month. It seems as though it’s been ages since we’ve had any normal social interaction beyond a screen. This song could also be interpreted as a comment on social distancing, but it’s more about being content with what we have. Something that’s certainly being highlighted during this crisis. We hope this meditative track will provide a moment of escapism. Enjoy.

Today marks the release of the new Dive Index single - Window to Window (ft. Natalie Walker). We hope this song can provide a brief respite from the strange times in our current world at the moment. Natalie and I wrote and recorded this song back in October and it’s about a missed connection. Although listening today, the song could be interpreted as an ode to social distancing. I wish we could claim to be that clairvoyant. If we were, we would all be sitting in cafes, venues, theaters, and touching our faces again. Alas, such is not the case, but we hope everyone out there is safe and sane. Happy distancing and thanks for listening!
